The ACOUSTIC MAXX system comprises:
- a GypWall® Sound MAXX wall system to prevent the sound transmission
in / out of the designed room. This is for Newly-built drywall construction

Sound level of movies in a Home Theatre room
- The sound level of the movie is 82 dB(A), with its peak at 88 dB(A).
- The acoustic wall should have the sound insulation value (STC)
not less than 60 dB in order not to disturb the nearby rooms.
- Equipment & setting for measurements:
• Yamaha AV receiver - 90 watts x 5 channels
• Yamaha Mono Subwoofer – 120 watt
• Sound volume setting of -20 dB
Remark: A 90 dB sound level may be compared with that of ambulance siren or the noise in industrial plants.
